View/Sign Guest Book

Lawyer, Raymond Stephen, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2008 in the company of his loving family and was received into the arms of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Ray was born on July 21, 1922 in McKenzie, North Dakota. He graduated from Pepperdine University in 1945. It was at Pepperdine that Ray fell in love with and married his wife, Joann. They were married for 62 wonderful years and had two sons, Kem and Kurt and one granddaughter, Andrea. Remaining family are Joann, Kem and Holly, Kurt and Jody, Andrea, and two great-grandchildren, Dallas and Nicole.
Ray coached basketball and tennis and taught drivers education at Fullerton High school for 35 years. He loved all athletics and was an avid golfer. Ray attended Sunny Hills Church of Christ where he was a deacon. Ray had a very strong faith in the Lord and that love and spirit showed in his everyday life. He genuinely loved people and wanted to talk to them. He made each person he met feel important. He had a strong dry sense of humor and warm and friendly personality with a smile that made people feel at ease and laugh.
There will be a memorial service held at Sunny Hills Church of Christ in Fullerton on April 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. As Ray battled Alzheimer's disease in his last years, donations may be made to the The Alzheimer's Foundation of America or the Alzheimer's Association.
