ELIZABETH BRUNSKILL, FUHS TEACHER

Mrs. Brunskill taught math at FUHS in the 50's. Her children all graduated from FUHS: Ann (FUHS '53), Bob (FUHS '55) and Susan (FUHS '57).

Brunskill, Elizabeth, 101, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2009. She was born in Hamilton, Ohio, 1908, moved with her mother, father and two brothers, Joe and Bob to south Anaheim on a walnut ranch situated where the Matter horn now stands. She attended Katella School's three classrooms until the family moved to downtown Anaheim. They lived in a house on Janss Street where the Rectory for Saint Boniface now stands. She attended Anaheim High School, Fullerton Junior College, U.C.L.A. and U.C. Berkeley. After teaching math a year in Los Angeles, she came to Fullerton High School, where she met her husband, Don, who died in 1980. With a short time off for family, she taught math at Fullerton until moving to Cypress College in 1965. She retired from Cypress in 1973. Her active retirement included family, The Orange County Teachers Credit Union Board, gardening, reading, bridge and her long time membership in Chapter HU, P.E.O. Sisterhood.. She'll be missed by three children, Ann, Susan and Bob; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grand children. Services will be held, 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 6 at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, 902 N. Harbor, Fullerton. Burial to follow at Loma Vista Memorial Park.
