RON VALENZUELA,

FUHS?  1983?
Valenzuela, Ronald Cooney 62

April 24, 1953 - March 14, 2016

As a young boy growing up in Fullerton, California, Ron was quite the salesman and hard worker, going door-to-door selling everything from his own homemade candy wreaths during Christmas time to Amway home care products throughout the rest of the year. He had his own newspaper route with the Orange County Register and that was how he earned the money for his own brand new Schwinn bike which helped him carry his two heavy bundles of newspapers every day on the handlebars. He had a lot of friends and they would play everything from "tops" with baseball cards (we can remember the front yard covered in cards) to marbles, to kick-the-can. There are a lot of fond memories of Ron. He was always honest. And he tried to be fair and kind. As he got older his life got a little harder. He had a disability that made his life rather difficult. He tried many different jobs from being responsible for running his own ice cream truck to even getting his license in electrical wiring and then wiring houses. But his disability proved to be quite debilitating and the last 30 years of his life was especially difficult. He will be missed but our prayers are that God, along with our Dad A.C. Valenzuela, our Mom Darlene Valenzuela, our sister Teresa "Rene" James, and our brother Steve Valenzuela, have all welcomed him to a new and better life. Ron leaves behind his sister Cherie (John) Witkowski, and his brother Tom (Sherrie) Valenzuela. He also leaves behind five nieces: Teresa Witkowski, Alicia (Arthur) Gharakhanian, Clorinda Witkowski, Mary Anne Walker and Anne (Iman) Shamsian; along with five great-nephews and one great-niece. We love you Ron.

The Wake will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at 6:30 PM followed by the Rosary, 7:00 PM at McAulay & Wallace Fullerton Mortuary Chapel.
