Gerry Cook just phoned me that Nancy died Friday (or Saturday, the news is so upsetting that I may get this all mixed up). Nancy had planned to be at the Pow Wow luncheon, but she had to cancel to go to her daughter's home in New Jersey. Nancy had just returned to Ontario Friday, but she had gotten sick on the plane and came off the plane in a wheelchair and her son took her right to the hospital. She was released to go home, but her son found her dead Saturday morning.

Her son phoned Joy Saturday night. There will be a funeral in the Palm Desert area.

Thanks for the note, Connie. I heard from Joy earlier today. She actually said that she died at home of a pulmonary embolism on Friday night/Saturday morning. Her son was with her overnight and found her in the morning. BARBARA HEMMERLING
