Dear Connie,
I just wanted to write and tell you how much I appreciate your work in keeping us posted on our beloved FUHS and alumni. I am a 1957 graduate and attended our 50th reunion last October. It was utterly fantastic to see again my old friends, many of whom I hadn't seen since high school. The warmth and sincere interest they expressed was extraordinary. It saddens me so to read about the passing of some of my classmates of that era.
In one of your blogs, several alums were wondering why we FUHS alums have this incredible bond. Just 4 action packed years out of my 68 (how could I be 68, there must be some mistake!). But I can remember so vividly the many adventures and friends during that period. Why are those several years together so memorable? I think it has to do with the high quality of the school, the teachers, our classmates, the Fullerton community, and the incredible positive thinking, optimistic, post war ethic of our parents.
My wife,Pam and I live a long ways away, on San Juan Island, in Puget Sound Washington. So you are my main source of alumni info, other than my pal since Wilshire Jr. High, Bud Olson.
