RICK POOLE, FUHS 1982

Poole, Rick Meldon, 43, of Placentia, died unexpectedly at home on July 4. He had been courageously battling cancer since January. Rick was born in Anaheim on July 10, 1964 to Maurice and Doris Poole. Rick graduated from Fullerton High School and Cal State Fullerton. Shortly after earning his CPA license he went to work for the Public Accounting firm of Stonefield Josephson. He worked in San Francisco, Santa Monica and recently became the Partner in charge of the Irvine office. He loved his profession and the people he worked with. He also loved serving in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of the Placentia 3rd Ward. Rick was a sports fan who loved the Lakers, Bruins and Dodgers. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Lisa Poole; daughter, Christie Poole; son, Parker Poole; father, Maurice Poole of Fullerton; brother, Gary Poole of Riverside; sister, Kiley (Poole) Williams of Moorpark; five nieces and seven nephews. Rick was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Poole and sister, Shelly (Poole) Barlow. A viewing will be on Thursday, July 10 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at McAulay & Wallace 18311 Lemon Dr., Yorba Linda. A funeral is scheduled for Friday, July 11 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 210 W. Livingston, Placentia. Graveside service to be held at Loma Vista Memorial Park, Fullerton, immediately following. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to a college fund established for Parker J.
