FJC 100 YEAR CELEBRATION

From an email on Saturday, January 12, 2013 from Louise P. Shamblen, class of 1957

Fullerton College, along with the City and County, is putting on an exciting 2 year celebration to celebrate its 100 years. I know that many of us attended Fullerton College (or Fullerton Jr. College in our day) at some point in our lives and may be interested in attending some of these events.

You can copy http://fullertoncollegecentennial.com/get-involved/donor-benefits.html to find the main website. You can also google it to find other information at other sites. The director of the event is Bob Jensen (my next door neighbor) who is Dean of the Fine Arts Department. They are looking for stories and memorabilia of your time at the school. You can send an electronic copy of your story to Bob Jensen atrjensen@fullcoll.edu. There are also opportunities to donate, even small amounts, to support these events.

I know one of the things they are doing is videotaping some of the more famous graduates and there will be CD’s for sell of these interviews.

As I learn more about some of the special events and their dates, I will pass on the information.
