Kathryn Irene Macdonald
(April 15, 1940 - February 03, 2015 )
Kathryn Irene Macdonald, 74, of
Corinth, died Tuesday, February 3,
2015 at her home in Corinth.
Mrs. Macdonald was born on April 15,
1940 in Fullerton, CA to Ernest E. and
Ethel Irene (Wyatt) Pyles. She was
married to Richard G. Macdonald on
January 21, 1966; he died on August 6,
2008. She earned a bachelor degree in
Liberal Arts from the University of California in
Berkeley, CA. She
was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority.
She worked hard
at several careers; she was a buyer for the
Liberty House while she
lived in Hawaii; co-owned a chemical company with
her husband;
opened a business in Colorado called “Isle
Style”; and most recently,
received her real estate license and went into
business with her
daughter. She was a member of the Glory of Zion
International
Church in Corinth. In addition to being an
excellent tennis player, she
was a very active member and loved baking and
serving in The Arbor
and at events with the church.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter, Melinda
Thibeaux and her
husband Don of Corinth; grandchildren, Devon
Michael Hofer, Malia
Rae Holtzman and husband Austin, Hope Angel
Frost; one great
grandson, Levi Fox Holtzman is on the way.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM
Saturday, February 7, 2015
at Glory of Zion International Church, 7801 S.
I-35E, Corinth, TX.
Allen Faubion will officiate the service.
