David Larson remembers going to a tree farm to pick out a Christmas tree when he was a kid in Illinois.
Now that he's grown and has a family, he wants his daughters and their friends to experience selecting a live tree as well.
"I enjoy the experience. It's a great experience, getting a fresh tree," said Larson, 51, of Huntington Beach. On Sunday, the engineer took his daughter Jennifer and her friend Natalie to choose a live tree at Peltzer Pines near Silverado Canyon.
