KATHERINE STUTSMAN OLMSTED, FUHS 1939

Olmsted, Katherine S., passed away peacefully on Friday, April 22, 2011 in Fullerton, California after a brief illness. She was 89. Born in Missouri to Ward and Bessie Stutsman, Katherine and her family moved to Orange County when she was 14 years old. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1939. Katherine was a member of P.E.O., a Philanthropic, Educational Organization, in Fullerton. She was a member of Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton for more than 40 years. She is survived by her daughter, Karen and her family; granddaughter, Marie; sister, Phyllis Russell; and her loving extended family. Her husband of 67 years, Karl A. Olmsted, died on March 5, 2011. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted wife and mother, engaging conversationalist and accomplished bridge player. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 29 at 2:00 p.m. at McAulay & Wallace Mortuary Chapel, 902 N. Harbor Blvd. in Fullerton.
