Burkhart, Robert
"Bob", born March 2, 1939 in Valley City, North Dakota to George
and Mabel Burkhart, passed away peacefully on September 20th, 2013. He
graduated from Fullerton High School, served in the U.S. Navy, and graduated from California
State University, Fullerton with a degree in accounting. He was an avid
outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was also an active member of
his Lutheran church. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Nancy;
children, Donna and Greg; two granddaughters, Ariel and Ty; sister, Bonnie
Irwin; and numerous other family members and friends. Predeceased by parents,
brother, Roland and sister, Marlene. Services will be held on Friday, September
27th, 2013 at St. Olaf Lutheran Church,12432 Ninth Street, Garden Grove.
Viewing will be at 10:00 am with services to follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of
flowers, a donation can be made to the St. Olaf Lutheran Church, Bob Burkhart
Memorial Fund. He will be missed immensely and we are thankful to God for
blessing our lives with his presence.
