Why Do the FUHS Alums Share Such a Bond?

Why do the FUHS alums share such a bond as the participation at the Pow Wow All-Alumni luncheons indicate?
The reporter who wrote the Pow Wow Luncheon story for the Fullerton paper and interviewed Pat Zima and me was trying to get to the reason for the camaraderie that our alumni share. I was sure stumped when she asked me although I brought up the sensational fun and closeness that we all shared at those football games. Pat remembered the Pow Wow parade with each class striving to have the best float.
What do you think is the reason?

When we entered FUHS, we were Buena Parkers, Yorba Linders, La Habrans, Fullertonians, and a few other nationalities. But as the high school years went by, we all became Indians, and were awfully proud of it! The pride we had in our school, starting with our first days...."Hey, Scrub! Pick up that paper!" "Sccccrrrrruuubbb! If you stood up in assembly before being excused. The exclusiveness of Senior Corner.... and of course, our wonderful faculty and facilities.... our athletic teams always in contention..... Music and arts, both fine and industrial.... all these shared experiences brought us closer together, and we celebrate that.
