Green, Bob D.

Bob Green passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Quartzite, AZ of natural
causes.
He was born in Los Angeles in 1947 to parents, Ralph and Lena Green where he
was raised in Fullerton. After graduating from Fullerton Union High School, he
married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Stewart Green in 1968 and had 3 children.
They later divorced.
Bob served two tours in the US Navy during Vietnam as a gunners
mate on the USS Coucal and the USS Queenfish, stationed in Pearl Harbor, HI in
the West Pac. He was the recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal, one Bronze Star and National Defense
Service Medal.
Upon release from the Navy, he returned to the retail grocery business in store
management for FedMart & Fazios.
In 1979 Bob joined the City of Orange Police Department, where he served for
over 26 years. His favorite part of that service was with the traffic &
motor division.
During that time, he met his current wife Carolyn. Bob & Carolyn were
married in 1999 in Santa Fe, NM.
Bob had a passion for camping, sand rails & motorcycles. He was a constant
jokester & prankster - you never knew what to expect.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:00am at the
Joint Forces Training Base, Los Alamitos, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations can
be made to CA Peace Officer Memorial Foundation (CPOMF) or Vietnam Veterans
Association.
Bob is survived by wife, Carolyn Pesenti Green; three children, Stacy English
(Matt English), Derek Green, Shawna Heineman (Tommy Heineman); six
grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. McAulay & Wallace Mortaury
