RICHARD STONEBRAKER, FUHS '52

Message from Dave Williams, FUHS '51:

My friend, Richard Stonebraker, '52, died a few weeks ago. Richard was living alone in a hotel room and was found dead, probably for a couple of days. He'd had a stroke about 2 years ago, and I had been taking him to the PowWow. Somehow, Tom Shockley found out about him dying and notified me, and I notified his ex wife, Caroline Nunn. Turns out Richard's brother Gary came and took Richard's ashes, probably to another state. So it all happened without much info getting to his old buddies.

JACK RAISBECK, FUHS '51

Another message from Dave Williams, FUHS '51:
BTW, I note no one has entered Jack Raisbeck's name in the Obituary. He was '51. as was his wife, Marilyn Stodart. No details. Marilyn told me of his death at an earlier Pow Wow.

JOHN LANGFORD, FUHS 1941

Langford, John Arthur, a long time resident of Anaheim and Fullerton, passed away in his sleep surrounded by family on November 19, 2008. John was born in Fullerton on November 20, 1923 and is survived by his wife, Marge Langford; his children, Jeff, Jim and Jennifer; his grandchildren, Scott, Jessica, Chris and Brent, and his sister, Jean Johnson. John attended Fullerton High School, Cal Tech and Stanford University where he received his degree in Chemical Engineering. John had a long and successful career as a manufactures representative in his own company, and retired to spend time traveling and being with his family in 1987. John was an outstanding tennis player and enjoyed camping, hiking, and the beach throughout his life, and instilled his love of the outdoors to his children and grandchildren through camping trips to Yosemite and the Sierras, and through weeks at Laguna Beach where he taught them all to bodysurf. He led a simple yet heroic life that touched the lives of many people in Anaheim through his generosity and friendship. A remembrance and celebration for family and friends will be held on February 7, 2009 at the home of his son, Jim in Coto de Caza, CA. For further information, please contact Jim at jlangford12@gmail.com.
