ROBERT "MARK" VAN SLYKE, FUHS 1974

Van Slyke, Robert "Mark", age 52, a resident of Sacramento, CA., died June 25, 2008. Mark was born in Fullerton, CA. A former employee of McAulay & Wallace Mortuary, he went on to become a Registered Nurse. Services will be held on Tuesday, July 1, at 10:00am at McAulay & Wallace Fullerton Mortuary Chapel, interment to follow. He is survived by his mother, Jean Archipley and sister, Donna Phaete.

Here's what we do for fun on San Juan Island- we play traditional jazz out in the woods for the birds and bees. Thats me on the cornet. Seriously, we have about 8,000 people on our island, and a great love for the arts and all kinds of music.

HELEN WILLIS SMITH, FUHS '49

News from Phyl Bolinger Munn, FUHS '49

Helen Willis Smith, FUHS Class of 1949, passed away at Hoag Memorial Hospital on Friday, May 9, 2008 after a short illness. Her Memorial Service is pending. Helen's husband, Al, and son, Craig , predeceased her. She is survived by son Lance, Newport Beach, granddaughter Jade, grandson Cheyne and great-grandson Craig. Helen will be missed by her many friends. She was a regular attendee at the FUHS Alumni Pow Wow from the second annual event up and until this year, when she was too ill to attend.
