BOGUS MESSAGES FROM ALUMNI JUNCTION?

Someone asked me a couple of weeks ago if I knew anything about this new service called Alumni Junction. I didn't, other than having received an offer to join.

The other day, I got a message from Alumni Junction that a friend had posted a message on my profile. When I clicked on the link, it wanted me to join before being able to read the message. I sent an e-mail to my friend's personal e-mail account to find out what he wanted to tell me. He said he had no knowledge of Alumni Junction and had not tried to e-mail me.

I don't think this is a good way for Alumni Junction to drum up business if that is what is going on. If someone else is trying to steal money from them by mis-directing their membership fees, someone who belongs to this service should warn them. I would have been pretty mad if I had paid money and not found any message waiting for me.

I just got another similar message supposedly from Alumni Junction, saying that a different friend had a message waiting for me.

Buyer beware.

NO UP-DATES DONE ON FUHS WEB PAGE LATELY

UPDATE: Kurt emailed me that he has just been very busy. Thank Goodness as he is a wonderful web master. He has updated the web site as of 4/13.

I have tried to e-mail Kurt Sineri class of '80, the web master for the below web page, to find out if he is OK because there have been no up-dates on his web page since 2-22-2011. A couple of people have tried to send him their e-mail address to be added to their class alumni list. They contacted me because they had no luck, which alerted me to the problem. I hope we find out that he is fine because he is providing a wonderful service for the school, and especially for the alumni.

POW WOW 2011 PICTURES AGAIN

I posted this on the 2011 Pow Wow blog too.  You might want to check that one out in case I start updating that one and forget to update this one.

(Hopefully, the information below is the same as the information on the above blog.)
Barbara Howe Kamphefer ('53) has put her pictures on Facebook. Click on

http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=212983888716982&set=a.212979735384064.65385.100000161171827#!/album.php?aid=65385&id=100000161171827
I asked her if anybody can view them or if a person has to to have been "friended". She doesn't know either. You tell us after you try.
I am working on more pictures, but my naps get in the way.

April 7, 2011:
I have created an album on Facebook holding pictures that my husband took that I marked as "Share" so everybody should be able to see the pictures. Again, let me know if you have a problem viewing them. I am running out of space on my blog and need to use other ways to share them. (If you put pictures somewhere, email me the link to add to this post.)
April 19: I added 5 more pictures.
